Sequoia National Park

If you bring your vehicle in for service at Nissan of Visalia, you are always welcome to stay and wait in our waiting room, but you don’t have to. While you are in Visalia, explore the area with some of these fantastic day trips. These experiences can take as little as 45 minutes or most of the day.
  • Historic Walking Trail. Learn about the historic roots of Visalia along with the founding of the National Park Service. The walk should only take about 45 minutes. Not only will you learn some history, but you will get some exercise, too.

  • Sequoia Shuttle. For only $15, the Sequoia Shuttle will take you to and from Visalia to Sequoia National park. And, you get to enjoy unlimited shuttle service within the park.
  • Three Hour Tour. Try one of these three-hour itineraries for an afternoon of fun in Visalia.
  • Behind the Scenes. Watch cheese mongers in action at Bravo Farms, get a culinary demonstration at The Vintage Press, go backstage for a Fox Theatre tour, or visit the Naylor Family Organic Farm for a fruit-filled adventure.
  • Visalia Festivals. Try the Foodie Fest in May, listen to the Tulare County Symphony from September to April, experience the Taste the Arts Festival in September, and Trek to the Nation’s Christmas Tree each December.
  • Tulare County Museum of Farm and Agriculture. Learn more about the area’s rich history and see historical artifacts, including one of California’s largest collections of Native American baskets.
  • St. John’s River Trail. Take a scenic walk along the St. John’s river. The paved trail is four miles long.
  • Mural Walking Trail. Explore the large-scale public art that decorates much of the local area. In Visalia alone, there are nine murals.
  • Visalia Community Players. Watch a fun show performed by the Visalia Community Players, Enchanted Playhouse Theater Company, or the Fourth Wall Theatre Company.
